To better manage spend, Enterprise clients can now authorize a user to approve all contract offers before they are sent to a freelancer. This enables an Enterprise company to take more control of work with a system that’s easy for employees to use, while providing approvers the visibility they need.
With this feature, a hiring manager creates an approval request to send to an authorized approver on your team before a contract offer is sent to a freelancer.
If approvals are enabled in a company account, an approval is required to submit all offers. Job posts do not require approval at this time.

How do I know if it is turned on in my account? Approvals Requests is a menu option under Jobs in the navigation bar.
- It’s not available in my account, how do I turn it on? Clients interested in using approvals should contact their EPS contact to help configure it to map to their business requirements.
How it works - as an approver
View approval requests - Open the Approval Request dashboard from the Jobs menu in the navigation bar. Hiring Managers will be able to view all requests pending their approval.
When a new request is submitted, approvers will receive an email notification.
Responding to approval requests
- Access the approval request by clicking thru the dashboard or the email notification.
- All details related to the approval request are on this page.
- Respond by clicking Accept or Decline. An email will be sent to the requester.
How it works - as an hiring manager
View approval requests - Open the Approval Request dashboard from the Jobs menu in the navigation bar. Hiring Managers will be able to see only requests they submitted.
Note: Only hiring managers who are a member of more than one team will see the Team dropdown selection.
Submit an approval request
From the dashboard, click on Create Request to complete the form. The approver will be notified of the request.
Send an offer
When sending an offer (direct, BYO or payroll), the hiring manager will be prompted to select an approved request to associate with the offer.
- Once the offer is submitted, the approval request can no longer be used (one time only).
- If the offer is modified, the approval request will be carried over to the updated offer.

If a relevant approved request is not available, then the hiring manager can choose to submit an approval request from this prompt. However they are unable to proceed with making an offer until an approved request is selected.
