Users are now able to access all of upwork.com directly on their mobile device. Note - this is in reference to the mobile site only and not the mobile app. Users can access the mobile site by opening up a web browser on their phone and going to upwork.com. The mobile app experience will be updated in a few months.

Our existing mobile app is a convenient way to discuss projects, view jobs, send files, etc. However, accessing Upwork.com via your mobile browser will allow you to do much more. Why did this take so long? Why now?
Thanks for reaching out. Due to our quick, sustained growth we’ve been primarily focused on improving our desktop site. However, we heard you and understand how important it is for our users to be able to use Upwork while on-the-go. As a result, we made it a priority this year to make sure you can access nearly all of Upwork from a mobile browser.
I don’t see X? Is this page/feature not available on the mobile version of Upwork.com?
Thanks for your question. Nearly all of our most-used pages will be available when you access Upwork.com from a mobile browser. However, you will not be able to do several things via the mobile browser. These include:
- Link a PayPal account, add Direct to Local Bank payment methods, and request wire transfers
- Complete a verification process (identity, location, etc.)
- File a dispute
- Access certain reports, including transaction history and earnings reports
- Access certain settings, including tax information, financial accounts, team information
- For enterprise clients: Access to certain settings will be limited, including custom fields, index page and offer requirements.
