We created a single Enterprise dashboard as a starting point and personalized hub for new & existing users.

This is to help Enterprise hiring managers in finding, hiring, and getting work done, while highlighting the added value of the Enterprise offering. Active Enterprise HMs (with hiring activity) also need a dashboard to help them effectively stay aware and take action on their most important tasks when it comes to hiring and managing their contingent talent.

 

What’s changing:

 

  • New Get Started section to help hiring managers successfully onboard
  • Personalized task management for job posts, offers, contracts (V1.1 Sept)
  • Spend metrics (will be team based for now, but soon to be personalized)
  • Easy access to request Enterprise support
  • Educational help center resources relevant to where a user is in their hiring journey
  • Expert Vetted Talent featured

Messaging notes:

 

  • We are standardizing across all documents as “Enterprise Dashboard”.
  • The primary features available on release are “easier search for expert vetted talent”  “access to help center” and “personalization” with additional features to be launched at a later date.
  • Avoid usage of language that implies directly or indirectly that “expert vetted talent” is exclusively available to enterprise clients.
  • This is an initial launch of the dashboard - for the purpose of setting a foundational user experience to integrate more features within 2023. 
  • Avoid speaking to the specificity of such features, particularly timeframe as they have yet to be accurately defined.
  • Emphasize the search and hiring of expert vetted talent by making an initial post for the purpose of building long term relationships with preferred talent. 
  • Emphasize the help center, staffed specifically for Enterprise is there to assist with any and all Upwork related staffing needs. 
  • Avoid incorporating Ai in any and all dashboard language until such a strategy is clearly defined.

Q: When will the existing CL Dashboard report be retired?

  • The Homepage is part of several projects in progress to improve UX workflows: 
    • Streamline registration and route all new registered users to the Homepage [EO23 DONE] 
    • Redesign the Enterprise logged in Homepage
    • Route all sign-ins to the Homepage (incl. those that have 1+ job post)
    • Complete the Enterprise IA project 
    • Retire the existing CL Dashboard experience under Jobs/My Jobs 
  • Before we retire the existing CL Dashboard, we will ensure users have successfully transitioned to the new Enterprise Homepage 

 

Q: What spend metrics will users have access to?

  • For launch users will see the same metrics they see in their Weekly Summary and Timesheet reports. We are working on personalizing these to their own spend and will offer personalized spend metrics on Homepage when ready.

 

Q: What will the Your workspace support? 

  • Once Phase 1.1 is complete, Your Workspace will provide status and recommended next steps:
    • Phase 1.1: Jobs, Offers, Contracts
    • Future: BYO, Approvals, POs, contract close, and Sourcing updates 

Q: How will we measure success?

  • The test will be a pre/post.
  • The project has a detailed test plan with business and learning metrics



Q: Who will see the new Homepage?

  • All registered Enterprise users will have access to the new Homepage Dashboard. For these initial phases we are primarily focused on improving the user experience for users with sourcing and hiring permissions. 
  • Users without these permissions will see a page with reduced content (i.e. no Your Workspace) 

 

Q. How are we improving the experience for managers of teams/hiring managers?

  • We are focused on improving the experience for hiring managers for 2023 roadmap.
  • We do have future plans to add the visibility for manager’s to be able to see their team’s spend and activity direct from their dashboard.

 

Q. Why do we not have PO related metrics on the dashboard?

  • We do have future plans to add PO burn down visibility
  • We are also looking into what task cards would help users related to PO burn down and requesting new POs.
