(INTERNAL INFO) Upwork automatically scans all job invitations clients extend to freelancers looking for anything risky or suspicious. If a job invite is flagged as deemed risky or suspicious -
- The client is not notified the job invite was flagged
- The job invite is sent to an internal team for review
- These flagged job invites are temporarily withheld from the marketplace during review
- Review can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour (max)
- Clients who are flagged for risky job invites - all future invites will be withheld until our internal team can review them
If job invite passes review - the invite will be automatically released
If job invites does not pass review - the user is locked out from their entire account and sent this macro
If an internal agent discards a job invitation, there will be no way for the client to retrieve it.
Why can’t I see that my job invitation has been sent?
There may sometimes be a delay in how quickly your job invitations register on Upwork. Sent job invitations will typically appear in your “Invited Freelancers” folder within an hour.
Why doesn’t my job post appear immediately?
Use macro - CS > Job Post > Why doesn’t my job post appear immediately?
When you post a job on Upwork it may take up to three hours for it to appear in our marketplace. This gives us a chance to remove posts that do not follow our Terms of Service. If for some reason we cannot post your job (which is rare), we’ll email you directly to let you know.
If your job post still doesn’t appear on our site after three hours and you haven’t received an email from us, please let us know. And should you have any other questions, don't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks for using Upwork!
