Step 1: Identify and Name the Process

  • Sum up the process with a descriptive name that distinguishes it from other processes and is easily identifiable.

Step 2: Introduction

  • Introduce the process by providing a brief description of what the process involves. This section may include background information, describing the purpose and benefits of the process, and explaining the process scope.

Step 3: Outline the Process Steps

Gather all information on process steps from start to finish

  • Organize the steps sequentially
    • Take the list of steps you’ve come up with and put them in a sequential order to create a process flow
    • Keep the number of steps to a minimum and if a step includes more than one task, list them under the main step
    • Add screenshots of the process flow if possible
    • If the process is involved and has many steps, include a Table of Contents to ensure easy navigation
  • Analyze the steps within the process
    • Review with Alisha and Cheryl
    • Edit as needed based on the suggestions made in the review
    • Charlene will review final draft and coordinate with the submitter on execution steps
