Step 1: Identify and Name the Process
- Sum up the process with a descriptive name that distinguishes it from other processes and is easily identifiable.
Step 2: Introduction
- Introduce the process by providing a brief description of what the process involves. This section may include background information, describing the purpose and benefits of the process, and explaining the process scope.
Step 3: Outline the Process Steps
Gather all information on process steps from start to finish
- Organize the steps sequentially
- Take the list of steps you’ve come up with and put them in a sequential order to create a process flow
- Keep the number of steps to a minimum and if a step includes more than one task, list them under the main step
- Add screenshots of the process flow if possible
- If the process is involved and has many steps, include a Table of Contents to ensure easy navigation
- Analyze the steps within the process
- Review with Alisha and Cheryl
- Edit as needed based on the suggestions made in the review
- Charlene will review final draft and coordinate with the submitter on execution steps
