Locating an email or notification sent to a user can be found via Mailgui or Mailgun. These tools offer evidence of items sent, if these messages were received and if the user opened the notification or email.
Mailgui offers a view of the email sent, Mailgun shares information including confirmation the user opened the delivery with timestamps of events.
To use Mailgui:
1. Go to https://int.upwork.com/obo/ng/mail/
2. Instructions:
a. Enter the email address for the account you are looking up
b. Enter the date range you are searching
c. Click “Search”
3. A list of notifications sent to the user will generate.
a. Choose the link for the information you are searching for
b. Click on the link
4. The link will bring you to the message sent
a. Click on “HTML Body” to review the contents of the message
b. Events show the email was delivered and accepted, if the email bounced this would be noted.
i. ‘Delivered indicated the email arrived to the email address
ii. “Accepted” indicates the email was accepted by the recipient's email server

To Use Mailgun:
1. Go to: https://app.mailgun.com/
2. Instructions:
a. Enter the email address you are searching
b. Click “Lookup”
3. Emails will generate by date
a. Views are
i. “Delivered"
ii. “Accepted”
iii. “Opened”
4. Clicking on “Data” provides additional information including the timestamp for reference.
